Matusz News

Great news in Birdland. Brian Matusz is in Baltimore today for his physical. This does not mean, however, that he has agreed to terms. The reason for the physical is to move along the process so there is no delay for the deadline. Roch Kubatko has more.

The Matusz signing is huge, if he indeed does sign, because he is a left-handed pitcher and the O's major need is pitching. I expect that Matusz will start the year in the minor leagues, but will be in the big leagues some time during the 2009 season. He's that good.
