He's agreed

Brian Matusz, Orioles first-round pick, has agreed to a contract with the team. The O's signed him to a major league contract with a $3.2M bonus.

The last left-handed first-round Orioles pitcher to get a major league deal was Adam Loewen. Loewen, as I wrote in an earlier blog, is out for the season and done as pitcher. Hopefully, Matusz won't end the same way as poor Adam Loewen.

The expectations here are high and the fans are hoping Matusz can live up to being the pitcher the O's need.
