Once again the Orioles came back from two runs down last night, in Boston, no less. The O's seem to be a resilient, scrappy team that is up for the challenge of playing anyone. The birds from Baltimore made Beckett work for every out. All you Sox haters out there, let's hope this keeps up.
Also, the Orioles made a move yesterday. They designated 27-year-old pitcher Steve Trachsel for assignment and purchased first baseman Oscar Salazar's contract from Triple-A Norfolk. I think this is a wise move because Trachsel wasn't adding anything to the pitching staff and they needed another bench player going in to another portion of meaningless interleague play. Salazar should also give Kevin Millar a break from playing every day and give him a rest on the bench.
